Project Reflection

Reflecting back on the problem of society not fully implementing Hybrid and electric vehicles, my creative response aims to change attitudes by giving people an opportunity to test environmentally aware vehicles for themselves. By giving people the opportunity to try these vehicles without having to commit to purchasing a new vehicle, they may be more open to experiencing what Hybrid and Electric vehicles have to offer. Hybrid and Electric vehicle technology may not be perfect; it has come along way in the last decade. Implementing these technologies now gives vehicle manufacturers more money to invest in renewable and sustainable technologies for the future.

The company I have created: HEVENZ (Hybrid Electric Vehicle Experience New Zealand) is a rental car company with a fleet consisting only of Hybrid and Electric vehicles. The aim of this company is to give people the opportunity to experience what these vehicles have to offer. As well as hiring vehicles, they also deal directly in new Hybrid and Electric vehicles with various incentives to go hybrid/electric such as trade in options for internal combustion driven vehicles. And a try to buy system where someone can hire a range of environmentally aware vehicles and if they choose to buy one they get the cost of the hire back. My creative response more than anything gives people the opportunity to experience new technologies.
